Vel R.S Medical College - College of Nursing was estabilished in the academic year 1999 - 2000, Under R.S trust. It is located in Avadi - Vel Tech road Chennai 600 062. The college offers Basic B.Sc(Nursing ) Courses Which is for 4 years and M.Sc(Nursing ) course Which is for 2 years . The college is affiliated to the TN.Dr. M.G.R Medical University and recognized by the Tamil Nadu Midwives Council and Indian Nursing Council. The basic B.Sc., (Nursing) course offered by the college has an intake of 50 girls students only. The M.Sc., (Nursing ) course offered by the college was started in 2006 and has an intake of 20 students of both boys and girls, 4 in each specialty.
