The Swami Vivekanand College of Nursing under the management of Swami Vivekanand Educational & Social Welfare Society Regd. Khanna has steadily been in pursuit of its objective of achieving excellence in health services education & training. the guiding philosopy behind all the academic activities of the Nursing School has, therefore, been to strive to inculcate professionalism in Nursing though and practice, to help community lead to a bettter tomorrow.Accompanying this change has been the eralisation that in today's world we can no longer exist in isolation, insulated from the rest of the world. The focus on 'local' needs to be supplemented with 'global' in present day health services. We, therefore, need to broaden our horizon to be able to taken into account, changes that occur beyond our immediate borders.

Keeping the constantly changing domestic and international health services environment in view there is a constant need for training our health staff to effectively cope with the increasingly complex health services.Nursing is one of the noblest of all the noble profession. The role of Nurse embodies the best of medical profession in the finest human qualities. While physicians carry out the procedures such as surgical operations, it is the Nurse who implements most of the management of the patient. One should be physically and mentally prepared for this great service to humanity.
