Admission Guidelines

Undergraduate Course (UG)

BA / B.Sc / BBA / B.Com / BCA – As per Bangalore University Norms

The aspiring candidates will be looked for their conduct and behavior along with academic merit. Every aspirant will be subjected to counseling before the application is issued. Entrance test will be conducted as and where necessary.

Documents to be submitted

• Original marks cards of 12th Std. / PUC
• Original Transfer Certificate of 12th Std. / PUC
• Address proof : any copy of Ration Card / Telephone Bills / Gas Bill
• Original Migration Certificate (Only for Non – Karnataka)
• Passport Size Photographs (5 Nos)
• Proof of Caste, If other than GM (SC, ST & CAT – I compulsory)

Post Graduate Course (PG)

1. M.Sc in Psychology

Admission through Management Quota (Direct Admission)

Candidates must submit duly filled application form along with necessary documents. 20 seats of the 40 allotted by Bangalore University are reserved under Management quota. Students would be selected based on their qualifying examination marks and an entrance exam conducted by the college. Contact college office for the updated fee structure. Admissions start from end of January.

The decision of the Admission Committee is final and binding in all matters related to admission process and selection Admission through Bangalore University Quota.

Admission through Bangalore University Quota

The Bangalore University quota, seats are filled by the centralized counselling held by the University. Candidates are suggested to check the university website to (www.bangaloreuniversity.ac.in) and notifications in leading newspapers to get the schedule of admission process. All admissions are subjected to approval from Bangalore University (BU). Original documents will be submitted to authorities concerned at BU for admission approval process. Students from Bangalore University and outside universities are also eligible for admissions through Bangalore University.

2. Master of Business Administration (M.B.A)

Required Documents for Admission

• SSLC or 10th Standard or its equivalent marks card (Original)
• PUC or 10+2 or its equivalent marks card (Original)
• All 3 year marks statement of Bachelor’s degree.
• Provisional degree certificate from the college last attended or degree certificate from the University.
• Caste certificate (Original)
• Income certificate (Original)
• Transfer Certificate (Original)
• Migration certificate from the university where the degree was completed.
• Students admitted in our Institution should have at least one set of photo copies of all the documents mentioned above along with 5 passport and 5 stamp size colour photographs.
• The students belonging to SC/ST and other categories should submit photo copies of caste certificate, income certificate while applying for students scholarships.

3. Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

Eligibility

The candidates applying for government quota must appear for PGCET conducted by the Government of Karnataka. The candidates applying under management quota shall appear for College level entrance test or National Level Entrance test or Karnataka K-MAT test.

• Course duration is 3 Years.
• Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate Level.
• Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination.

4. Master of Commerce (M.Com)

Eligibility

• Basic UG Course : B.Com/B.B.M/B.B.A and BBS
• Score : 50% in aggregate, in Commerce Subjects45% in aggregate for SC/ST/Cat-1 & Blind Students, in Commerce Subjects.

Alumni

The Surana Alumni Association works to bridge the gap between the Institution and the alumni. Alumni Association is a central point of contact among alumni to interact and network with each other. The Alumni Association conducts regular meetings to interact with each other to discuss development of the Institution and also their role and contribution.

Mission : The purpose of this organization shall be to promote and support Surana group of Institutions wherever possible and to establish strong relationship between the Alumni Association and present students

Objectives of Alumni Association

• Assist current students and alumni in career planning, placement and transitions.
• Develop strong working relationships with other Alumni Council members.
• To be the mentors for current students and guide them in career planning and entrepreneurial development.
• Developing and maintaining an Alumni Directory so that alumni can locate each other and remain connected to the Alumni Network.
• Alumni will raise funds through a small admittance fee, which will be contributed to an alumni scholarship or a charity of their choice.
• Participate actively in strategic and long range program planning to promote alumni awareness, engagement and commitment to the Institution.
• Recognize fellow alumni who are distinguished by their loyalty, professional achievement and community service.

About Placement Cell

Surana Placement cell acts as an interface between the students and the corporate world.

The placement cell helps every student to utilize the resources available in the campus. Students will be facilitated with Enthusiastic Faculty, distinguished alumni, library and internet facilities for student’s assistance to get them ahead in this competitive world.
