About Us

The SDM Institute of Nursing Sciences was established in the year 2006 under the auspice of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Education Society with the support and blessings of President Rev. Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade. It is one of the leading Institutes in Karnataka, set with high standards to learn and practice Nursing with a vision. The Institute is heading towards excellence under the able leadership & patronage of Honorable Medical Director Dr. Niranjan Kumar & Smt. Padmalatha Niranjan, Executive Director SDMALAC. At this institute we offer four programmes namely; DGNM (Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery), B. Sc (Nursing), P. B. B. Sc (Nursing) & M. Sc (Nursing) with three specialities namely Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing & Child Health Nursing. All these programmes are recognized by Government of Karnataka, approved by Karnataka Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council and affiliated to KSDNEB & RGUHS Bangalore.
