Well trained physios are in ever increasing demand at multi-specialty hospitals, private sectors like gyms and clinics, rehabilitation centers, industrial organizations, sports teams and teaching institutes.Rev. President of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Educational Society, Karnataka, Dr. D. Veerendra Heggadeji foresaw the growing importance of this field more than a decade back. He founded S.D.M. College of Physiotherapy at Dharwad under the auspices of SDME Society in the year 1996.The College is situated in picturesque campus of SDM Medical College & Hospital along the main drive between Dharwad and Hubli cities.
