About Us

Rajamahendri Institute of Engineering and Technology popularly known as “RIET” was established in the year 2008 near Pidimgoyyi in Rajahmundry by “The Swarnandhra Educational Society” pioneered by Technocrats, Academicians and Philanthropists with a concrete plan to offer excellence in technical education and to meet the present as well as the changing needs of the corporate sector. The college is located in a peaceful and lush green environment away from the din and bustle of the crowded city life which is free from pollution and congenial to attain technical knowledge. The nearest air port is at Madhurapudi which is 15 kms away from the college and the nearest Railway station is at Rajahmundry which is 8 kms away from the college. The college is well connected by National highway 16 to all parts of the district as well as the state. The college is affiliated to JNTUK Kakinada and approved by AICTE, New Delhi and Government of Andhra Pradesh. The college was started in the year 2008 with an intake of 240 students in 4 branches of B.Tech, with 60 students each in EEE, ECE, CSE and IT. Mechanical Engineering branch was started with an intake of 60 in the year 2011.
