About Us

Rajalakshmi Institutions had its beginning in the year 1997 with the start of Rajalakshmi Engineering College in Chennai with an intake of 180 students. Now REC offers 10 UG programmes, 9 PG programmes and 8 Research programs (Ph.D. and M.S. (By Research)) with an annual intake of 1446.Today Rajalakshmi institutions encompasses more than a half dozen institutions including School, Teacher Training, Nursing, and Engineering colleges. This phenomenal growth has been made possible by the hard work and vision of our Founder Chairman Thiru. S. Meganathan.Rajalakshmi College of Nursing, approved by Nursing Council of India and affiliated to Dr. MGR Medical University offers Nursing programme.
