About Us

Mar Augusthinose College had its inception in 1995 under the management of St. Augustine’s Forane Church, Ramapuram and under the stewardship of Rev Fr Augustine Perumattam. The college has registered consistent growth during the able management of Rev. Fr Cyriac Kunnel, Rev Fr Mathew Narivelil and Rev Dr George Njarakunnel. Ever since its inception, the institution has maintained high academic excellence, commitment to moral values, and single-minded devotion to the cause of higher education. The institution which started with only a few courses like BBA, B Sc Electronics, BCA and B Com, has now grown into one of the most outstanding colleges in the self-financing sector of higher education with as many as ten undergraduate batches of diverse programmes like BCA (2 Batches) B Sc Electronics, B Sc Biotechnology, BBA (2 Batches), B Com ( Co-operation 2 Batches), B Com (Finance & Taxation) and B A Communicative English. The total strength of students has gone up to more than 1640 and 109 staff members from the meagre numbers in 1995. Seven Postgraduate programmes were also added to the range and depth of the academic life of this temple of learning.
