About Us

Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) is an Autonomous Medical Education Institution under the Government of Karnataka. The Institute is located 90 kilometers from Bengaluru, the state capital, and 40 kilometers from Mysuru. It is situated on State Highway No. 17 (Bengaluru-Mysuru Road).This Institution started in 2005, and the First Batch of 100 students was admitted in 2006. Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) is a 100% merit-based institution, and MBBS students are selected through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). From 2006 to 2016, 100 students were admitted each year, and starting from the Academic Year 2017-18, 150 MBBS students are being admitted.
