About Us

Malik Deenar College of Nursing is a unit of Malik Deenar Group of Institutions,under Kasaragod Muslim Welfare Association,started B.Sc Nursing Programme with an annual intake of 50, in the year 2002-03 under the chairmanship of our founder Late.Janab.K.S Abdulla.The institution is run by Kasaragod Muslim Welfare Association and located in Thalangara just 0.50 K.M from Kasaragod Railway Station.The other Nursing courses offered are Post Basic B.Sc Nursing started in 2010-11 with an intake of 30 per year,and M.Sc Nursing in 2011-12 with an intake of 10 students in four specialities (Medical Surgical Nursing-2,Community Health Nursing-2,Mental Health Nursing-2,Child Health Nursing-4).The college is recognised by the apex bodies -The Indian Nursing Council ,New Delhi and Kerala Nursing and Midwifery Council,Thiruvananthapuram,Kerala.The College is Affiliated to Kannur University since its inception in 2002 to till the establishment of Kerala University of Health Sciences,Thrissur,Kerala in 2010-11. From the Academic Year 2010-11, the B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing Programmes are affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS),Thrissur, Kerala. College is affiliated to the well equipped parent hospital located in the same campus.
