About Us

Little Lourdes College of nursing, situated on the bank of famous Meenachil river, is managed by Little Lourdes Charitable Institution Trust. The college is administrated by the Congregation of Sisters of Visitation of Blessed Virgin Mary, Kottayam. Little Lourdes Mission hospital, a 300 bedded hospital started in 1956 by late Mgr. Cyriac Mattathil, functions under this trust. Institution began as Multipurpose health workers school in 1979. Little Lourdes School of Nursing was started in 2001. The nursing school is being upgraded to College of Nursing in 2013. The college aims at developing women through nursing education by upholding catholic doctrines.

The Little Lourdes College of Nursing was inaugurated on August 3, 2013. B.Sc Nursing course was started on 21/08/2013 on the feast day of St. Pius Xth. The college is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, Kerala Nursing Council for Nurses and Midwives, and affiliated to Kerala University of Health Science.
