"The traditional industrial economy which has served so well for decades is now being replaced by a new knowledge based economy Growth and job creation is in the knowledge intensive sectors. India is in the process of becoming an economic super power and there is a growing demand for engineering and management graduates.

The students need to have a good understanding of the new challenges and changes in the industrial and business environment. There is an increasing need to grasp the rapid technological changes and their implications on global markets. They should work on building knowledge, skills and should have a global focus and the ability to work in an international environment.
