Placement

IIIT Bangalore is a premier institute focused on Post-Graduate Computer Science and Electronics education and research, located in the heart of Electronic City, Bangalore. The institute facilitates the placement process each year for the benefit of its students. The Placement process covers summer internships for pre-final year students as well as internship and full-time employment (FTE) for final year students. Several students who pursue summer internships are offered full time jobs by their respective company.

Since the founding of the Institute in 1999, IIIT Bangalore has enjoyed 100% placement every year, on account of the strong support of the Industry and the growing base of talented alumni.

The summer internship process begins in September for pre-final years students. Companies carry out tests and interviews after which, the selected students are offered 2-month internships. Most companies that offer summer internships also offer Pre Placement Offers to interns who would then join them either in January or directly in July (once they graduate). These students have full time job offers before the beginning of the final placement season. Since the last few years, around 15% of students are offered full time jobs through Pre Placement offers given during summer internships.

The final placement season, for both internship and FTE, usually opens in July, where the companies and the institute get in touch and eventually schedule a date for placements in the coming months. Companies carry out rigorous placement drives following which the selected students get 4-6 month internship offers and/or full time job offers. By the end of he placement season, 100% of all students applying for placements have job and internship offers.

Our specially designed courses make the students cognitive of the current technologies and practices, thereby equipping them with the tools and knowledge to solve contemporary real problems.
