Placement

We realize that Fashion Designing is a subject that originates from applied arts, is embedded in human culture and finds meaning when implemented in the fashion industry. The course that we have designed is industry oriented. We have developed and maintain a close association with the industry which is considered as out well wisher as they depend on us for supplying quality professionals who can take up important assignments in the industry.​

Our students get ample opportunities of getting industrial exposure that makes them ready for using their knowledge in the practical field. Their learning acquires a special meaning as we give them opportunities of applying it.

​Indian Institute of Fashion Technology greatly emphasizes on our Industry Institute Interaction program which sees a great number of students placed for employment and other internships in Fashion Houses, Retail giants and Boutiques across the country. We believe that it enhances and promotes our students’ capabilities in respect to functioning as successful professionals in the fashion world.

Placement Cell is functioning at Indian Institute of Fashion Technology with an aim to train students and raise employ-ability keeping in mind their career aspirations in the field of fashion merchandising, fashion designing, fashion styling, fashion retailing, garment production, apparel quality assurance, fashion buyer. Every year our students undergo rigorous placement training and career guidance program from eminent resource persons from apparel and fashion industries to gear up for employment opportunities.

Alumni Association

An Alumni association is the association formed by the graduates or former students of the university which relates the present students, the department and industry. Its a strong platform to have good relationship between the industry and institution for sharing ideas and knowledge each other.​

Alumni association is to encourage the people of Department of Fashion & Apparel Design, Fashion Management, Fashion Designing & Boutique Management of Indian Institute of Fashion Technology to participate in the development activities of their area to achieve their goals, to share academic and developmental information, and discuss issues of common interest among members. Information exchange and  experience sharing improves  social, economical and cultural growth  relevant to members, department and students of Fashion & Apparel Design, Fashion Management, Fashion Designing & Boutique Management and its environs.

The goals and objectives of the alumni association are:

• To encourage and enable friendship and cooperation among the alumni.
• To practice wisdom and virtues in their daily undertakings.
• To exercise social responsibility and involvement in responding to the needs of society.
• To evoke passion and dedication in helping out the the department of Fashion & Apparel Design, Fashion Management, Fashion Designing & Boutique Management members.
• To create opportunities for job, higher education and business opportunities for the Fashion & Apparel Design, Fashion Management, Fashion Designing & Boutique Management students at the institute.
• To serve as a guide and role-model to every student and the community.
