About Us

Government Polytechnic College, Mattanur, belongs to Mattanur Municipality, which is situated in the eastern part of the Kannur district. This college has been in the forefront of technical education for the past two decades, providing superior quality technical education with skill-oriented training to the youth of the North-East Malabar region to meet the present and future industrial requirements. The history of the college extends back to 1964 when it started functioning as Technical High School. From its humble beginning, it was upgraded to Polytechnic College in 1994, and VHSC was shifted to Govt. High School, Edayannur.
