About Principal

Dr.G Pundarika

Principal

Dr. G Pundarika was born on 11-09-1966 in Nelahonne thanda of Davanagere District. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from JNNCE, Mysore University in 1990. He obtained his Master’s degree from NITK Surathkal in 1992 through GATE, and Doctoral degree in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore in Jan 2003. He completed a course in leadership and Management level 5 from Charted management Institute (CMI) UK. He has about 25 years of experience in academics, Research and administration. Currently he is working as a Principal, Government Engineering College Ramanagara since 2010.

He has also served as a Principal, B M S Evening College of Engineering Bangalore, vice principal (Aca), B M S College of Engineering, Prof. and Head Mechanical Engineering, B M S College of Engineering.

Dr. G Pundarika has executed three research projects funded from AICTE and ISRO in field of thermoacoustics and heat pipes, conducted several workshops and FDP programs with the funding from AICTE and TEQIP. He has guided three students for Ph.D, two more are submitted their thesis for the award of Ph.D degree under VTU. He has delivered about twenty invited talks and expert lectures at various institutions and conferences. He has been resource person to train KPCL executives. He has also chaired Technical sessions in International and National conferences.

He has published more than 50 Technical papers in Peer reviewed International/National /International Conferences/National conferences.

Dr. G Pundarika has been a International speaker during seminar-cum-counseling sessions at Mahendradatta University, Bali – Indonesia on 6 th march 2009, as a part of educational consultant of India.

He won 5th Bry-Air Award for Excellence in HVAC&R 2010 “Design, Fabrication & Testing of a Grooved Heat Pipe”. He is a R eviewer for International Journal of Numerical Methods for Heat and Fluid Flow, Emerald Group Publishing Limited from 2015.

He is a expert panel members of NBA, NAAC, AICTE, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, LIC, VTU etc. He has been a Chairman/Member of several State committees on education.

He has been on the board of appointment for Bangalore University, B M S College of Engineering Bangalore, JVIT Bidadi, DBIT Bangalore, Schneider Electric White field, Bangalore. He is a member of Governing council for R V College of Engineering, Bangalore, Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore. B M S College of Engineering, Bangalore, B M S Evening College of Engineering, Bangalore, Sri Tontadarya Engineering college Gadaga, Karnataka, Jnanavikas Institute of Technology, Bidadi, Bangalore.

He has member of Academic council/BOS/BOE in B M S College of Engineering, Bangalore, Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology Bangalore, UVCE, Bangalore University.

He is a member of several Scientific and Professional Societies such as Charted Management Institute(UK), Indian Society for Technical Education, Acoustical Society of India, Indian Society for heating, refrigerating and air conditioning Engineers, American Society for heating, refrigerating and air conditioning Engineers. He was CWC member Indian Society for Heating Refrigerating air conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) Bangalore chapter 2008-2010.
