Government College of Nursing Kozhikode

About Us

Government College of Nursing, Kozhikode is the second Govt.Nursing College of Kerala. It is affiliated to the University of Calicut and Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). College was started in April 1982 at College of Nursing Trivandrum Campus with 25 seats.The college was shifted to Calicut in September, 1982 and continued to function in the Dental College building. The college was shifted to its own building in the medical college campus in the year 1997. The B.Sc. Nursing intake was gradually increased to 60. General Nursing and Midwifery programme exclusively for Scheduled Castes, commenced in 1986 with an annual intake of 30 Students. M.Sc. Nursing programme was commenced in the year 1996 with two specialties and an intake of 08 students which was gradually enhanced to 30 with all five specialties.
