Dr. Samuel George Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences is a non-minority college founded by Late Rev.Dr.Samuel George in 2001. The college offers M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics), M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Analysis), M. Pharm (Pharmacology) and B.Pharm courses.The college is fully furnished with all the amenities required for the students to reach their full potential. It is equipped with state of the art laboratories, evident in the award given by Nagarjuna University for “the best laboratories among the affiliated colleges”. The well-stocked library is available to students 12 hours a day. It has 100 systems with well-structured LAN and an internet connection. It has Wi-Fi connections, 6 Mbps leased line from BSNL, providing secure Wi-Fi to the students and faculty through login credentials, ensuring uninterrupted internet supply.Dr. Samuel George Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences was founded by Late Rev. Dr. Samuel George in 2001. The college offers the following courses: M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics), M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Analysis), M.Pharm (Pharmacology) and B.Pharm. It is set in a sprawling campus in Markapur, Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh. Dr.SGIPS employs qualified and competent faculty for all its courses. The college has a well-stocked library with books, national and international journals. It also has a computer lab with all the amenities. It is equipped with state of the art laboratories and has recently received an award for “Best Laboratories”.Apart from the Pharma College, the management also runs engineering and paramedical colleges in Markapur, B.Ed,degree and junior colleges and a high school in Atmakur, Kurnool.  The college is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, recognized by the AICTE and affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University. It is also an ISO 9001-2015 certified institute.
