About Us

The nursing training programme in Tata Main Hospital started in 1939 in the School of Nursing and used to deliver General Nursing & Midwifery course. Alumni of the institute are literally present all over the world and doing extremely well wherever they are placed. From the academic session 2015-2016 onwards, School of Nursing is upgraded to College imparting four years Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree. College of Nursing, Tata Main Hospital is approved by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and recognized by Jharkhand Nurses’ Registration Council, Ranchi and affiliated to Kolhan University, Chaibasa. Training covers everything from best practices in routine care to intensive care to patient safety and patient care in various specialities. Our dream is to train nurses who will play a significant role in these cost-effective, higher technology, prevent and manage models.
