Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc.Nursing) Nursing
It gives me immense pleasure to pen a few words about our Institution. It is affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR. Medical University, Chennai and approved by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai. It is located in beautiful atmosphere speread over a 11.18 acre campus with massive building, spacious centre hall and well equipped laboratories, well stocked library and large play ground. Well qualified experienced and dedicated faculty provides excellent coaching.
I take great pleasure in presenting the documentation, its development and achievement during the academic year 2016. The said academic year is marked with multiple meritorious events. These successful weeks can be attributed to the dedication of Management, Principal, Faculty Members and the students owing to the toiling effort of the administration committee, we received full-fledged admission. The Lamp Lighting Ceremony was celebrated in the name of LIGHT FEST- 2016 on 30th January. The function was graced by our beloved Chairman, Chief Guest Dr. Mrs. Reena Evancy, Principal, St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Nursing, Principal and all the staff members. The performance of our students in the University Examination was consistently by well.
On January 26th Republic day celebration carried out in our college lawn.
Our student Ms. Sarathi participated in Voters Day Competition held at Government Higher Secondary School, Boothapandi and won a II prize.
The tour organizing committee arranged our educational tour on 22/04/2016 students have visited Trivandrum, Kovalam, Neyyar Dam etc.
Sports weeks was held from 9th – 11th May 2016. Our Principal inaugurated the sports week events. The students and staff members actively participated in various events and prize distributed for the winners.
On May 12th – Nurses Day Celebration conducted in our college Auditorium. These presented by principal and cultural activities carried out.
Cultural committee has organized cultural programs in the college with the support of all staff members and students.
All the narrated achievements were made possible with the support of Management, Principal, Teaching and Non-teaching staff members and students.
Also I take this opportunity to express my best wishes to all the students for their bright future.

Our Vision
CET College of Nursing will provide excellent programs to prepare students for nursing practice at the Baccalaureate, Master’s and Doctoral levels; innovative clinical practice; and creative use of technology to advance nursing practice, education and scholarship.
Transport
College Buses and vans are available for the faculty and students to attend clinical postings in other affiliated hospitals and community centers for required clinical experience.
Library
We have spacious and well ventilated Library. It is well furnished and has adequate number of recent edition books, totally 5,000 books and 12 National and International Journals were available in our Library
Hospital (Affliated)
Presently we are having multi specialty hospitals with latest technology of health care services as our private tie-up for our student’s clinical experience. We have made all the arrangements to get permission from Government Medical College Hospital, Nagercoil, for the clinical training for our students
Community
CET College of Nursing students as a part of their curriculum do their service for the rural people. They undergo training and organize various health camps in rural primary health centre with in the radius of our campus. Rural—Thadikarankonam, Primary Health Center
Hostel facilities
All the students are expected to reside in the hostel, abide by the rules and regulations of the hostel and are accountable to the Warden/house keeper and principal. It is having a homely environment with all facilities, provides an atmosphere which promotes self confidence and discipline among the students. The hostel with adequate facilities provides excellent living rooms, South Indian food and well equipped kitchen, dinning hall, recreation hall and sanitary facilities. It is having 24 hours water and electricity facilities.
The classrooms were spacious, well furnished, and ventilated. It creates a learning environment amidst of natural beauties. Students were motivated to learn nursing and involve themselves in learning process.
Laboratories
The college has well equipped laboratories to train students as per the norms of Indian Nursing Council and the statutes of the TN Dr.MGR Medical University. All the laboratories are well lighted, ventilated and spacious. It has got adequate furniture, equipments, surgical, instruments, rubber and plastic goods, charts and models.
