About Us

Our college was established in 2015 as a new initiative in Kozhinjamapra to contribute towards the higher education scenario of Palakkad district. With over four decades of experience of running a prestigious school in the town, the management was approached by parents to start a private college as required by many. Many students from these localities still depend upon colleges in TN for their higher education. With the availability of the land in Kozhinjampara, the dream was fulfilled in 2015 with four classrooms in a small building. Now over the last four years we have built enviable infrastructure and other facilities. This is a developmentally backward area and more than 75% students in this college currently belong to any one of the OBC groups. It shows the relevance and importance of this college in this locality. The college is affiliated to Calicut University from its inception.Bharathamatha College of arts and science comes under the management of Preshitha Province of the Carmelites of Mary immaculate (CMI). The college motto is 'Inspire to ignite'. The mission and vision of our institution is to inspire the young minds to ignite their creativity in order to achieve a bright future ahead of them. We inspire, prepare and empower our students for a bright future.The infrastructure and the campus provide lots of facilities to the students to express their creative talents. The classrooms, washrooms; furniture, library, etc. are all of high standard. A good collection of books are available in the library along with newspapers and journals to keep the students up to date with the present trends and innovations. College is well equipped with a computer lab and canteen facilities. New infrastructure is added every year as per the need. The college has got a nice playground and a physical education teacher to assist with the physical growth of the students. The students are encouraged to play Football, Volleyball, Cricket, Throw ball, Basketball, Badminton, Athletics etc. Our students already won prizes at the university level in wrestling.
