About Us

Barjora College (presently under Bankura University) was established in 1985 when virtually higher education was a long way off, especially to the economically backward classes of the Northern Bankura District. To cater the need of higher education a few distinguished education-lovers, dedicators and social reformers of the locality came to the forefront to realize the long-cherished dream to set up a College. after Govt. approval this Institution was initially started in Barjora High School, later it was shifted to its own building in 1986 with a poor infrastructural facility.
