Nursing Practice: The College has its own parent hospital called Sareen Hospital with various specialities having a bedstrength of 100 made available to the students for Clinical Experience.The College is also affiliated to many of the speciality and super specialty hospitals and well developed community health department with urban and rural community centres with various developmental activities planned and executed scientifically are at the disposal of students for practical Nursing Practice

Library: Extensive Library Service together with systematic use of Audio-visual aids, e-library is available to help students in their learning process. The library is also connected with the University website HSLIBNET which is available for students to access books, Journals& Research material online. Students are strictly informed to observe the library rules.

Religious Activities: Students are encouraged to avail themselves of the opportunities provided to pray realizing that it is from the divine physician they draw the healing touch to be imparted in turn to their patients.

Extra-Curricular Activities: In the view of main aim of Education as the total development of the person, a number of opportunities are provided for the students to develop their skills and trained Nurses Associations and participation of Local, State & National conferences and Scientific Exhibitions which promote leadership potentialities in the students. Besides these, opportunities to develop talents in Dance, Indoor and Outdoor games & sports also are provided.

Health Services: On admission every student will undergo a Medical Examination. Medical care will be given to students in case of Illness as per the student health Scheme. During the course a high standard of Health has to be maintained. In case of any major illness as communicable diseases, Heart Diseases, Neuro vascular Diseases, the student may be asked to discontinue the course.

Telephone Calls : The College does not entertain direct telephone calls to the student during working hours. Any message should be passed on through the Principal’s/ Vice-Principal’s Office.

Vacation: Vacation areplanned according to the BFUHS rules. If the students are unable to come to college due to Illness, the Parents Should be intimated immediately via telephone followed by written explanation. On return, they should submit a medical certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner stating full particulars of their illness and treatment. In case if students absents herself/himself from duty/ class for any reason, the student will be asked to do make-up duty for the number of day of absence. Those not having at least 80% attendance in theory & 100% attendance in clincals for any subject will not be permitted to appear for examination.

Academic Progress & Clinical Evaluation : All students are expected to maintain high academic and clinical standard of performance throughoutthe programme. To this effect, regular written and practical sessional examinations will be conducted. Consistent standards are expected at all times. Students who do not show any progress or who fail repeatedly will not be allowed to appear for examination/ continue the course.

Educational Field visit: During the course of studies the student may be sent for educational field visits. Expenses will be borne by the students.

Scholarship: The students who are under Minority division and economically backward will be considered for obtaining special assistance as “Asashirvad” scholarship provided by the Punjab Government.
