N.K.Jabshetty Ayurvedic Medical College and PG Centre Bidar

N.K. Jabshetty Ayurvedic Medical College & Post Graduate Centre in Bidar was established by Sri Chidambara Shikshana Samsthe, led by Param Poojya Sri Sri Shiva Kumar Swamiji of Sri Siddharudh Math. The institution aims to provide professional education, enrich students, and offer effective healthcare, propagating Ayurveda with the motto of “Health for All.” The college was inaugurated on 19th September 1991 by Sri Shivraj Patil, the Honorable Speaker of Lok Sabha. The undergraduate BAMS course began in 1991-92 with an intake of 60 students. The college expanded to offer postgraduate courses (MD/MS Ayurveda) in 2000-01, starting with MD in Rachana Sharir (Anatomy) and MS in Shalya Tantra (Surgery) with an intake of 5 students each. MS in Prasuti Tantra and Stree Roga (Gynaecology & Obstetrics) was also introduced, followed by MD in Pancha Karma in 2002-03. In 2013-14, the college added MD courses in Dravyaguna, Rasashastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana, and Roga Nidana, each with 4 students. The college cumulatively offers 30 seats for PG courses. The college maintains high-quality teaching and training in Ayurveda with a modern scientific outlook, producing meritorious graduates and postgraduates.
