B. Sc. Nursing is a 4-year undergraduate programme where students learn the science and principles of nursing. The imparts theoretical knowledge and clinical exposure to mould qualified nurses. Students acquire critical thinking skills, abilities and skills required for a nursing professional. The course trains students in clinical nursing and first-level management. Apart from theory classes, students also get practical training in hospitals, laboratories or communities. The aim of the course is to create competent professionals in nursing and midwifery. B.Sc Nursing graduates can find jobs in government/private hospitals, super speciality clinics, care homes etc. This is one of the most prominent courses that will open up several opportunities nationally as well as globally.
|Eligibility||At least 50% marks in class XII with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the main subjects|
The candidates must have cleared Class XII or equivalent exam from a recognized board. They must have secured at least 50% marks in the exam. Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology as core subjects. The age of the candidate must be between 17 and 25 years.
Candidates can take direct admissions at colleges or on the basis of score secured in the entrance exam held by respective colleges. Filling of application, fee remission and admit card download etc can be done online. Once the exam is conducted, the candidates will be issued rank cards and the merit list for all the categories will be released. The candidates that feature in the merit list will be called for the counselling. Students are then allotted seats as per the merit list.
