The admissions will be given to the eligible candidates only. A minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Class XII or any other exam considered equivalent to it is a must.Further, the exam must be taken while studying at some recognized educational institution under a recognized exam board. Many universities and colleges that are reputed in the Science courses also have their own entrance exams. So, check the norms carefully.


BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Applications and is an undergraduate program spanning over three years. BCA is a basic course in computer applications and is generally followed by MCA or Master of Computer Applications. BCA and MCA are also offered as an integrated program in many colleges. BCA is a semester-based course that comprises the basics of computer and computer applications. Apart from learning the concepts and details of the computer hardware and software, BCA also touches almost all the major subjects that are taught in the B.Tech. or B.E. courses. However, the extent of knowledge is different from these courses. Keeping the current job market in mind, it is better to do MCA after BCA. This widens the scope of careers and lucrative salaries. After completing the MCA, students also become eligible for the National Eligibility Test or NET which has become a standard for jobs in teaching these days. Research, Teaching and higher studies are the other career prospects after BCA. The BCA graduates can also get jobs in many private companies on various profiles. The candidates must have passed Class XII with at least 45% marks to get admission in BCA.

BBA is an undergraduate course in business administration and stands for Bachelor of Business Administration. This course is highly popular in India and is the stepping stone for the PG Course MBA. BBA is a three year course and MBA is a two year course. Many universities and colleges also provide BBA and MBA as an integrated five-year program. This way, the students don’t have to take an entrance exam for admissions in MBA. BBA Admissions can be obtained directly as well as via the entrance exams. BBA course is a semester-based course that also includes a project submission and internship. BMS, BBS and BBM are the other popular names of BBA Course. The candidates are required to pass the class XII exam with at least 50% marks. BBA Course can be done as a regular course and distance course. The course prepares the students for the higher courses and involves acquiring the skill-set for managing the business processes and performing the basic management tasks in a business environment. However, the current job market and career prospects call for a higher degree or diploma after BBA such as MBA etc to unravel lucrative jobs and salaries.
